Melissa Krok-Horton lives, works, and creates in Boston. She received her BFA in Painting and History of Art at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Boston. She is the Assistant Exhibitions Preparator for works on paper at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

From 2017 to 2019, Melissa served as lead coordinator for The Salon for Artistic Experimentation, a monthly critique group for Boston-area artists.

In 2015, she created the online installation space Anti-Immersive Gallery, and curated five digital exhibitions. The shows were rendered in 3d-modelling software and interacted with in the style of a fps video game. Exhibits were customized according to the artist's vision of an ideal or fantastical situation to insert their artwork.
